Bob Blumenfeld is a life-long resident of El Paso and has been practicing in the areas of labor and employment and public law and since he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors, in 1992. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley in 1989 (A.B. History). He works in the firm's El Paso office.

Bob has almost 15 years experience representing employers in labor and employment matters and is is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Bob has also devoted a substantial part of his practice to the representation of public entities, including serving as outside general counsel to the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso and the Upper Rio Grande Workforce Development Board.

Since 1998, Bob has represented Internet gambling law clients in a variety of matters, and has developed considerable expertise in the area of United States and international gambling law. He has worked extensively with fellow partner Mark Mendel on the pending online gambling trade dispute brought by the government of Antigua and Barbuda against the United States. In connection with his online gambling practice, Bob has been a featured speaker on Internet gambling at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas (2004 and 2005), the Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo (GIGSE) in Montreal (2006), and the International Gaming Conference and Expo (IGCE) in Costa Rica (2006).

Bob is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of New Mexico, the El Paso and American Bar Associations, the El Paso Society for Human Resource Management and the El Paso Young Lawyers Association. He is also licensed to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the United States District Court of New Mexico. Bob is a frequent speaker on employment topics for the El Paso Society for Human Resource Management and several other national human resource-training companies.

Bob is licensed to practice in Texas and New Mexico.
